24 Hour Fitness - Never used Personal training session refund in Automall dr, fremont. CA
Update: This 24 fitness center located on Automall drive in Fremont, never kept promise. Here's history.
Early Oct : purchased personal training session, paid $299.99. Sales woman said it is flexible that each session can be divided into 30 min session instead of 1 hour to accommodate my daily schedule for work and life Second week of Oct, I got a call from personal trainer, so I asked to have 30 min session and he said "no that's not true. you need to coma and talk to office manaer" I visited in person, left a note asking call back. Never gotten any call back from manager "Michael" Early Nov, I visited again asking refund after I cancelled my membership via Costco.
They refused to do so. Third week of Nov(Nov 21), I got a call from a guy named "Derek" and talked about all of this and he said he would make sure his manager "Michael" would give me a call to solve the issue. I never gotten call again. It is Dec 18, they don't even care to follow up!!!
I'm so pissed off. What the heck is going on?
I purchased personal training session a few weeks ago on the first day of gym but decided to cancel membership due to rash I got after first use of gym swimming pool. It was very dirty, some black things were floating while I was walking in the pool.
I don't want to take further risk hence cancelled membership. Therefore it doesn't make sense to have personal training session. I asked refund, general manager(he said) Ryan kept telling me cancellation policy had to be requested in 5 days. What?
I didn't hear about that. Young sales lady who sold me personal training session didn't explain about that at all. That Ryan guy told me same was emailed. I didn't even bother to open email from that facility because why would I need to when I have hard copy of receipt of my payment.
So, I used that place only one time. Then developed rash so cancelled membership(really thanks to Costco only, not 24 fitness) Now I want to get my money back for the personal training session which I didn't even start. They kept refusing to give my money back! I am not sure if they are incentivized to do so or just makes them look better.
I thought corporation like this would clearly have a good business model with their customers, obviously I was wrong. I am blown away by how terrible 24 Hour Fitness is.
