My name is Jatinder Singh. I am writing this to you regarding to a bad experience I had at the Newark 24 Hour Fitness Club.
I paid the annual membership fee which was about $263. I forgot to pay the annual fee. I went to the club and was getting help from an employee who's name I think was Ismail. He wasn't getting the question I was asking him so he asked another lady to help him.
That lady's name was Pam. I explained to her the situation. She wasn't even ready to listen to me. It was as if she didn't care.
She spoke to me in a really rude and arrogant way. The computer was facing me when Ismail was helping me, but she snatched the computer back to face her in a really angry and violent type of way. I didn't say anything to her other than politely saying to repect me. There were many people and employees who started to stare at us as she kept on bringing out her rude attitude.
She disrespected me in front of so many people. When I asked her to print me the papers, she yelled at me , " How many copies?" Then, when I asked her for a pen, she threw it at me. At last, she said for me to leave this place at once. Is this how some of your employees treat their customers?
I mean, in the sense of her being a human and me being one, too, it's just wrong. She should treat others with kindness and respect to get the same thing back. I am treating her with this but she just can't seem to be grateful for it. She should think about what if I treated her that way?
How would she feel if she were standing in my shoes? I don't think she would feel great. So, if she wouldn't feel great being in that position, how could I? I am a customer who has the right to be respected.
I am respecting her, so why isn't she respecting me? Was she doing this because I have a different religion than her? As you may know that in the United Sates, there is no discrimination based on religion, sex, race, nationality, or ethnicity. Everyone is equal here.
No one should be treated poorly based on these things or their position in society. I felt really disrespected as she was doing this to me. Can you please take immediate action on this incident? If she does this to me, who knows if she does it to so many others as well?
If you can't take action on this, I will go to court and file a case.

Hi, last year on February 15 2023 I decided to join 24 hour fitness that same day I spoke with the manager and I was under the impression that I was paying for a year worth of membership. The day of I was told to make a down payment of $109 as a part of the contract, the manager that assisted me had commented that I had two weeks of free individual training.
at the time I thought that was part of the contract so I didn't question it. Yesterday, February nine I called my local 24 hour fitness and was asking about a new contract regarding last year. I was under the impression that I was on a yearly contract but I came to find out that I was not. I was charged $109 for individual training that I never attended or was aware of, I was not handed an invoice the year that I signed up so I thought like I said it was courtesy of 24 hour fitness.
I spoke with my local and their response was that they quote" replaced my initiation fee with free individual training" which was something I never agreed upon, on top of that I am certain that last year on February the price was the same and just like this year there is no initiation fee other than a one dollar fee.
It took long for me to catch onto this but like I said I wasn't aware and I thought I was under a yearly contract. I would like to get a refund for those $109 i feel scammed.

I was misled thru false advertising to go to this gym when I was sent an email giving me a 3 day free trial. They said they don't honor that.
I still tried to sign up and become a member. I was given 5 days to cancel with no fees or problems. I did by the 3rd day. The person who handled it froze the account instead.
I havnt been to the gym since. I have a membership with In-shape since then. I then came to find out I was charged $20 basically for nothing and then charged for 2 additional months of membership.
Mind you I went to the gym, called the gym several times and could never get a manager. Finally I was told to send an email like now and still havnt received a response

A employee refused to help me cut off my lock at 3 oclock in the morning and told me there was nothing he could do until 5 oclock in the morning. I refuse to wait until five because I had better things to do so I grabbed the bowl cutters and cut them off and cut off my lock myself, the following day at the same employee said he felt threatened when nothing was said to him and we have had Previous problems at a past employment, This is very unprofessional and wizard a week into my annual membership after paying for the annual pass. This has interrupted my life and halted any growth and Resulted in the loss of all my progress from the past couple years physically, I have not received any answer to my phone calls and keep being prompted that is still under investigation after a year, This is unacceptable and I have already begun the process reaching out to the Better Business Bureau, And Would like to bring this to conclusion or get a refund or anything, Receiving nothing Followed by zero response is unacceptable.

Day before yesterday morning I was at I was at a 24-hour location in Santa Ana California. When there was a complaint made about me from another member this member accused me of being sleep in the sun where it's 120 and it was said that this member complained three different times.
Due to the fact that I am a member as well I was never notified once I was only told to leave the premises after the third time said the overnight customer service representative. Upon my departure from the location I guess I wasn't moving fast enough and the representative began to antagonize me and tell me that I needed to put a move on that's when I notified to representative that I was a member as well and that I would not be putting on any extra move on despite what he may have felt that I should do at that moment. at that point in time is when things got out of hand and the representative began to call me out of my name referring to me as a b**** he also stated that I was homeless and that he would be making sure that all of my belongings inside of the locker will be disposed of and thrown away and then after that he called law enforcement to remove me from the premises.
He also called me a n***** and told me to have fun in jail. Why he responded in this manner I do not know I've never had any problems at this location before not to mention that my membership is essential to my everyday life so I wouldn't do anything to purposely jeopardize it it would have been very simple for the representative to warn me and let me know that there was someone complaining versus handling the situation as though he did but he neglected not to and so here we are hopefully this issue can be resolved and I can continue to have my membership as I have for the past 4 to 5 months and continue as though nothing ever happened but time is of the essence and we'll see.

Since I have joined 24 hr Fitness located in Valley Stream Long Island NY
For months now my favorite Dance Instructor Gaell is not being scheduled hence why I have a membership is to workout with her myself and other members informed the manager 'Brain" about this and her did nothing my dues are still being paid on time and I have NO service I also froze my account because of the situation but they still charge me a partial fee monthly
I tried to reach out to the cooperate office about this and still nothing is being done
My Gym Instructor want to teach her 24hr Dance class and her followers myself included wants to dance with her but management is not allowing this I'm being robbed by the facility for it has been months I have not got any service I have tried other Gyms and Instructors but there is none compares to her they won't even sub her classes or replace it with anyone else like "Shawn" who is also really good I work Mon-Fri so only weekends I have time to Dance there 24 hr Fitness owes me Money for Services NOT Rendered
The Management team is NOT doing a good job of keeping current members satisfied and he's not Customer Service friendly either but is always advertising Promotions to get people money to join I feel as if they should also extend the Dance Studio for these named Instructors for, they draw a very large crowd when they are sporadically on schedule
Can 24hr put Shawn and Gaell back on Saturday's schedule so we can Dance and get our workout and the service we are paying for

I am writing this email to gain some clarity on your retail policy and its register schedule.
Ive been a member for a few years and try to use my membership as much as possible, every time after my workout I buy a LEAN BODY protein shake. I have bought one every time after my workout since the time they only used to cost $2.50.
They now are $7 but I dont care I still buy them. Now, sometimes I work out at night and I understand there is a nightly shift change at the register where the retail store is CLOSED for a time period.
I am not writing to complain about the fact that it is CLOSED but because the first time I learned of this shift change was about a month ago where I walked up to the register at your LAKEWOOD CA location with my protein shake at around 10:50pm and MORGAN, Im not sure that his name because he never wears a name badge, let me know the register was closed. I asked what time the register closes he said he didnt know. And seemed very dismissive as to my concerns.
Frustrated I left with no protein.
A few weeks later Im working out at night again, and Im rushing to the retail store after my workout because I dont want to miss my OPPORTUNITY of BUYING an expensive overly priced protein shake. As I approach the fridge I notice its MORGAN at the register again! This time it is 10:30pm and he begins counting his register as Im walking up, tells me the same thing register is closed and this time he simply walks away from me and goes to a back room. Defeated again I feel helpless and now undervalued just looking for an explanation.
LAST NIGHT 09/12/23 I visit the same LAKEWOOD CA location at night and now I have PTSD every time I start my workouts rather late because I dont know if Ill be able to grab a protein shake afterwards.
Well I finish my work out, rush to the retail shop as Im headed to the fridge I notice its MORGAN again at the helm. I walk up to the register at 10:16pm. Where he opens his register and BEGINS COUNTING to CLOSE his register! Not looking at me, he tells me register is closed.
I begin to try to find out now WHAT TIME exactly is this register ever open. He says it could close at any time.
I was shocked at that answer because it seems a little unspecific for a large company, which would have this written somewhere at least. I begin to see if maybe he can see where Im coming from as a former trainer myself I asked him if he realizes how important nutrition after a workout is he says he does. Then I asked him if there was a way he could help me in this situation since Im not trying to shoplift but rather spend money and I even tried to plan around MORGANS schedule by finishing my workout a little early to make the cutoff period.
He said theres nothing he can do, without looking at me and just continued counting. The coworker next to him started to laugh which made me feel frustrated.
10:16pm and he was closing already i then asked what time the register would open back up he said 11:00pm! Thats almost an hour having to wait I told him and
he said just go to the gas station and get something there if your nutrition is so important to you
the coworker laughed at that as well but it seemed like even HE was surprised at MORGANs response to my question.
For the record I WOULD go to the gas station for protein but they dont have the quality products you guys offer.
In an age where people are just taking things off the shelves without paying and facing no repercussions, I felt like I was being treated WORSE. Im trying to BUY!
I almost felt like just leaving the money there and taking my shake but I know thats not the right way.
I went home last night very saddened because of the experience overall. As a member I dont expect to be treated superior to other just wanna be treated like a member.
I felt like my business was NOT wanted.
The purpose of my email is not to complain but rather find out the ACTUAL schedule for the register at night and what time it is set to close SO THAT I CAN PLAN AROUND THAT TIME. I dont care if it closes for 3 HOURS a day I CAN PLAN AROUND A CONSISTENT SCHEDULE. At the moment I feel like I am at the mercy of MORGAN and however he is feeling that day as currently it seems like it is his call whether he wants to refuse service to me or not.
And I didnt sign up for 24MORGANfitness.
I signed up for 24hour fitness. Fitness 24HOURS of the day.
I hope to hear back from whoever this might concern, soon and thank you for your time.

I never write reviews, but...
I have been a member for quite a while. Transferred over when Grossmont gym closed down.
I am retired from the position of Engineering Operations Manager at a hospital nearby. Early in my career I managed Nautilus gyms here in San Diego. I am blown away that this is tolerated.
Suffice to say, I am beyond disappointed in how poorly the Navajo gym is run and maintained. Equipment breaks and it takes months for repairs, IF REPAIRS ARE EVEN MADE!
Ab crunch down. Low Back exercise machine down. Glute machine down. Rope pull missing rope for over 3 months, 2nd rope frayed and will break soon.
Many stair machines down and not repaired. Pool down due to no chlorine for days. This is just a partial list of poor maintenance, no effective periodic maintenance and no concern for customer satisfaction. If indeed the gym is for sale, I cannot imagine being parto of the purchasing 0arty taking over such a poorly cared for facility.
When asked when repairs will happen, or if ropes will be replaced, response is "Corporate will not fund any repairs".
This is so beyond unacceptable. If customers paid dues the way this gym makes efforts to resolve issues, you would be (or should be) out of business.
Please understand that I typically do not write reviews or make these types of comments, but my patience with this unacceptable condition of the gym has reached its limit.
It would be nice if someone would step in and do something about the ongoing issues in a timely manner.
